Llandybie welcomed Fall Bay for this 4B West fixture looking for their first win of the season.

The visitors made a bright start exerting a lot of pressure and keeping the hosts penned in their own half kicking a penalty by Steffan Turrell to take the lead after 7 minutes. The first quarter was full of handling errors from both sides with a greasy ball and heavy showers. Fall bay went further ahead after 20 minutes with a good try by Tom Payne to lead eight nil.

Flankers Owain James and Nathaniel Butler were full on in the tackle area and centres Keri Davies and Steffan Jones were creating more going forward after a quiet start. From a solid scrum Llandybie went wide with Butler putting in a good cross kick for flying winger Rhys Jones to go over in the corner. Scrum half Nate Richards kept the back line moving and Mathew Lemon carried well for the hosts. From a penalty Jake Lewis kicked the points to tie the scores 8 all at half time.

Early pressure again from Fall Bay resulted in a try for Gareth John. Fly Half Chris Powell was pegging the visitors back with good defensive kicks and was solid in the tackle. A penalty from Powell found a good touch for the hosts with hooker and captain Dafydd Wyn Jones hitting Connor Butler in the line out setting up a drive with Nathaniel Butler getting the touchdown to tie the scores again at 13 -13. Llandybie gained a penalty and Powell stepped up to nail the kick from 35 yards for the hosts to lead for the first time.

Fall Bay had plenty left and fought back with a converted try by Harry Evans after 70 minutes with the hosts yielding a couple of silly penalties Turrell converting one of them. Llandybie ran out of time to change the outcome but gained a losing bonus point and put in a pleasing performance but not the result they wanted. The final score was 16 – 23 to Fall Bay. Next week Llandybie are away to Pontyberem in the Cup.
